What is collected
Standard server logs — IP address, user agent, requested path, response code — are kept by the hosting provider for security and abuse prevention. Two analytics services record aggregate traffic: Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Neither is used to identify a visitor.
Cookies
Cloudflare sets a security cookie that distinguishes real browsers from bots. Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and _ga_<container> to tell returning visitors from new ones; both expire after two years. There are no advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking cookies on this site. In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland those cookies are written only after you accept the consent banner. Everywhere else they are written on your first visit.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 measures page views, referrers, approximate location (country and city level) and device type, under Google Consent Mode. Consent state decides whether the _ga cookie is written: while it is denied, no cookie is set and no client identifier is kept, though a cookieless ping still records that the visit happened. In no configuration does this site use advertising features, remarketing or Google Signals, and Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Cloudflare Web Analytics runs on every visit: it sets no cookie and records page views without a client identifier.
Opting out
Both services respect the usual controls: blocking third-party scripts, a tracker-blocking extension, or a browser set to refuse cookies stops them. The site reads identically with analytics disabled — nothing here is gated on a script loading.
