Release and availability
When does Drunken Goddess Reflux come out?
December 8, 2026, on Steam. The store lists the date without a countdown timer, which means no unlock hour has been set in Valve's system yet.
Is there a demo?
No public one. A demo was scheduled for October 19 and cancelled on October 16. It was replaced by closed online play sessions, filled by lottery, applied for through the studio's Discord server.
What platforms is it on?
Windows only. No Mac build, no Linux build, and no console version has been announced for any system.
How much does it cost?
No price has been published. The store page is in a coming-soon state with no purchase option, no pre-order and no editions. Any figure circulating before launch did not come from Steam.
Is it free to play?
No. The store marks it as a paid game. It does not describe itself as free-to-play anywhere and there is no monetisation model attached to the listing.
Where can I download it?
Nowhere, until December 8. There is no demo build, no pre-load and no early access. Files claiming to be this game before its release date are something else wearing the name.
The game itself
What kind of game is it?
A single-player roguelite built around a drinking contest. You and a demon take turns picking from three unlabelled bottles, drinking, and spending the coins that come back on cards that bend the rules. Rounds escalate until one of you loses their soul.
Is it multiplayer or co-op?
No. Single-player only. The entire contest is between the player and one opponent, and nothing in the store listing suggests any online or local multiplayer mode.
How long is a run?
Not published. The scoreboard climbs steeply between the early rounds, which points to short, intense nights rather than a long campaign, but that is inference rather than a stated figure.
Is it like Buckshot Roulette?
The comparison is fair at the level of premise — a deadly game of chance across a table against a smiling antagonist — and wrong at the level of play. Buckshot Roulette is a single items-and-shells puzzle; this is a card game with an intoxication economy that gates your own options. The shared DNA is tone and framing, not mechanics.
Is it scary or is it funny?
Both, deliberately. The horror is body horror and dread about eternity; the comedy is the demon's sincere belief that she is being romantic. The store's own copy plays it straight, which is where most of the humour comes from.
Content and ratings
Is it 18+ or NSFW?
No. It carries a 16 rating in Germany and a 12 in Brazil, and Steam applies no age gate. The tags include sexual content because of the character design, but the ratings put it well short of adult-only.
Is there gore?
Yes, in a hand-drawn cartoon register. Self-inflicted injuries are mechanics — an ice pick through the hand, improvised surgery with bar tools — rather than set dressing.
Names and people
Why is it also called Pukey Goddess Shot Trick?
That is the Japanese regional title for the same build. It is not a rename, a sequel or a different version — change the store region and the title changes with it.
Who is Femme Soule?
The demon of alcohol who runs Pandemonium, the bar at the bottom of Hell. She is the game's only opponent and its narrator, and her name reads as French for drunk woman.
Who voices her?
Nanahira. Japanese is the only full voice track; the other fourteen languages get subtitles over her performance.
Who made it?
WHO YOU, led by Fuyuki Hayashi, published by Alliance Arts. Character design and animation are by odyk, and the theme song DEMON'S SHOT is performed by DEMONDICE with production by Aiobahn +81.
Is there a Roblox version?
Not an official one. Roblox turns up in searches for this game because of unrelated user-made experiences, none of which are connected to WHO YOU or Alliance Arts.
Comparisons and expectations
Is it a visual novel?
No. It has a lot of dialogue and one character who talks throughout, but the structure is a card game with a run-based economy. The talking sits on top of a system you can lose.
How does it compare to Liar's Bar?
Both are games about sitting across a table from a smiling opponent who may be lying to you. Liar's Bar is a bluffing game where the tension comes from what the other players know. This one hides less: the bottle values are visible, and the tension comes from what drinking costs you rather than from what you have been told.
Is it connected to Yunyun Syndrome!?
No. Different game, different characters, same publisher. Alliance Arts published both, and the crossover was promotional — Yunyun Syndrome!? was discounted during the event where this game was announced.
Is it on Game Pass or PlayStation Plus?
No announcement of any subscription service. It is a Steam release with no console version, so a console subscription service is not currently possible.
Does it support controllers?
Yes. Full controller support and Steam Input API support are both listed, which means it can be played start to finish on a pad including menus, and community remaps work.
Will it run in ultrawide?
Unknown. No resolution support has been published, and the interface is built around a fixed composition — a bar, a demon, three glasses — which usually means pillarboxing rather than native ultrawide.
Playing it
Which language should I play in?
Japanese audio with whatever subtitles you read. The voice track exists only in Japanese, so the alternative is muting a performance the game was built around.
Can you pause mid-round?
Unknown. Nothing has been published about pausing, and a turn-based card game has no mechanical reason to block it.
Is there a photo mode?
None has been announced. The presentation is a fixed composition rather than a free camera, which makes a photo mode unlikely.
Does it have accessibility options?
Not published. The one thing worth watching for is text size — a card game with small numbers on glasses is exactly the genre where legibility settings matter, and nothing has been said about them.
Is there a soundtrack release?
Not announced. The theme song is credited to Aiobahn +81 and DEMONDICE, and a full soundtrack album has not been mentioned alongside it.
Following it
Where does news get posted?
The Steam store page carries the studio's announcements, which is where the release date, the demo cancellation and the language update all appeared first. The Discord server handles the closed play sessions.
Are there achievements?
Yes, Steam Achievements are enabled on the listing. Nothing has been published about how many or what they cover.
Will there be a physical edition?
None has been announced. The game is a digital Windows release and no boxed version has been mentioned by the studio or its publisher.
